There’s a fun thread in the forum right now, “Introduction & 7 Day Observations”.

Lots of insights coming together there to help Julia with her initial impressions and questions.  Unfortunately you can only see it, if you have forum access.  I haven’t figured out a great way to copy entire threads, there are hidden formatting things that make everything all funky when pasted.  But if you do have forum access, check that one out.

Another interesting quick progress report, courtesy of Jon:

jon-CENTIEMTER-augAdds another dimension, getting a nice visual squiggly of your progress.

Jon did kindly make his Excel file available, if you want it and don’t have it, just let me know.  All you need to do is plug in your centimeter, and it’ll output all the cool graphs.

I’m having dreams of making this a small Web app so you don’t even need Excel.  Maybe semi-soon!

Housekeeping Notes:  Planning on doing little video Q&A and general musings again, soon.  The studio isn’t exactly most conveniently located from home, but with the new full time nanny and life calming down I’m hoping to bring that trip into the routine soon.

If you noticed the little “for professionals” link, yes.  I wasn’t kidding about being friendlier to the optometrists.  Interestingly enough the response has been more than just a little bit encouraging.  Besides my post “oh boy was I totally wrong” having caused a whole deluge of (somewhat polarized) e-mails, several optometrists and holistic M.D.’s have come forward wanting to be involved.  Once you look at my method as just an optional add-on, once you realize it just plain works, it’s kind of a no-brainer.  Why not add it to the list of options of a well-rounded practice.  Lots and lots of things to be figured out there, but eventually we should have a well sorted approach that optometrists can just “plug and play”.

Being that I’m supposed to no longer be an a**hole here, I’m taking my cranky-Jake toys over to Twitter.  I shouldn’t be doing that either, and we’ll try to keep that to a minimum but you know I can’t just quit being disagreeable, cold turkey.

Thanks for all the support and notes and comments this past week, it’s all been rather interesting.  Oh and, about 200 more followers and @endmyopia is going to be at a good-start 16.000 strong.

Cheers,

-Jake
