There are a lot of ways to quantify your guru-riffic progress with myopia reduction.

One of them, getting the “corrective lenses required” bit removed from your driver’s license.  Bye-bye state recognized driving handicap and required crutches.  Trust your original, real eyeballs again, good to go, even according to the powers in charge.

You don’t think of this necessarily, when you’re used to decades of wearing glasses.  You don’t have any idea how liberating it is to walk out of that government office with a document stating that you’re not a myope any longer.

Here’s Chris, having this experience:

How much more official does it get, than that, as far as quantified vision improvement?

It doesn’t.  That’s it, kittehs, when you get the greenlight to drive without needing glasses anymore.  Some jurisdictions make you go through all sorts of extra hoops to get the handicapped designation removed, but it’s definitely something you can and should strive for.

Congrats to Chris, and thanks for taking the time to write!
