Open Positions (Fall 2015)

PR Manager / Community Advocate

Love to connect with people?  Extrovert personality?  Great writing skills?  Well organized?

Apply for our work from anywhere, as either internship, or part or full-time role as public relations manager and community advocate.

It’ll be up to you to find the best alternative health communities, bloggers, and Youtube personalities.  Find them, start a dialog about vision health, explore the potential upside to expose their readers and viewers to another huge aspect of their overall health.

As the usual employment boilerplate fluff goes, these skills are really important:

  • Self Motivated:  This isn’t a 9-5, minimum effort, wait-for-the-paycheck role.  From creating and managing lists, updating conversation status, to identifying opportunities, the PR world is all yours.  No managers or handholding
  • Perfect English:  You don’t have to be a native speaker, but your conversation partners shouldn’t easily realize this.  Communication skills are key.
  • Enthusiastic About Eyesight Health:  Preference for myopes who are working on their eyesight.  It’s one thing to talk about stuff, and another to have first hand experience.  We love to work with eyesight health students!

Benefits:

Vision, health, and dental for U.S. based staff.

Access to Jake for vision health questions, as well as the entire BackTo20/20 program at a discount.  Inclusion in meetups throughout the world.

Covered travel expenses for meetups, shows, and key partner relationships.

Flex time, vacation (varies based on your location).
