Above:  Excerpt of my recent Skype chat with Despina (her update posted here of course with approval).

At least it’s the first ever for here online at @endmyopia, this story.  Despina, our resident contributing optometrist, went to her optometrist (all Escher-like) and confirmed that her vision has improved by 0.75 diopters.

Now of course this is not an absolute surprise to you, frequent blog reader.

But it’s great nonetheless, having a properly licensed and mainstream connected professional try BackTo20/20 (and by extension, the endmyopia/Steiner method), and report tangible success.  Tangible success, verified by an unbiased, licensed professional third party.  That’s quite excellent news!

Should we do a big PR round, expect to be featured in the mainstream publications that lament how half the world will be myopic in a matter of years?

You know the answer to that one.  What will have to do instead of mainstream recognition about the facts of myopia and human biology and even optometrist confirmed findings, is you feeling good about knowing you’ve come to the right place.  Your time is well spent using practices of strain control and stimulus based therapy, and your vision will improve just like Despina’s has been!

Footnote:  Despina also has presbyopia, another win for the program working even in cases of limited accommodation range.

Housekeeping:  After a day of Windows, I went out and bought another Macbook.  I wisely didn’t use Apple’s cool backup solution, so it’s taking some time to get everything back to how it was, though I’m hoping to get back to uploading videos by tomorrow or Tuesday.

Cheers!
