Too much close-up is the root of all myopia troubles.  Unfortunately most of us need lots of close-up time for our daily lives.  Less eye strain alone won’t fix myopia, but it will help prevent worsening eyesight (and help you get effective rehab results).

We make lots of recommendations here to deal with close-up strain.

#1 is to never wear your distance vision glasses while working up-close.  If you can’t see your screen without glasses, a good differential prescription is going to help a lot.

#2 is taking breaks, specifically getting at least 20 minutes of active distance focus activity.  Lots about this topic in the blog, and specific recommendations in the forum.  

But then sometimes you might actually be thinking that you just want to close your eyes for a while.  People often ask, how can I get the most out a break that doesn’t involve looking at anything at all?
