Greetings!  It’s Alex again finally, adding to the blog for you today.

Take a look Kim is saying in the forum about her experience since January.  There is a very interesting and encouraging detail, see if you can catch it:

quotes-blueHi everyone!

I have just moved to a new apartment where I get a lot more sunlight and even have a balcony overlooking the bay.

I went to the eye doctor back in early February. I started this program early January. According to the tests, my left eye went from -6.5 to -6 and -7.5 down to -7.25.

Normalized prescription: -5 for my left eye and -6.5 for my right eye
Differential prescription: -4 for my left eye and -5.5 for my right eye

Current routine on weekdays
Morning: 30 minute walk outside to get to transportation for work. While I’m on transportation, I normally sit outside with enough sunlight and I do some close up focus with a book. I do both without my glasses currently and am pretty comfortable now without my glasses.

Work: I have lately clear out text on the computer without my glasses while being about 40-50 cms away (works very well if we get a nice light into the room) so I would spend most of my day at work now without my glasses. Every now and then I would have double vision instead of the “clearness”. I occasionally look out the window or go outside to take a break from the computer. I should start doing the 20 minute breaks again, but ever since work got so busy, I have stopped. I sometimes wear differential prescription, but maybe only for an hour or two now while I am on the computer. There was some strain initially in just trying to clear out the blur, but it’s less and less now.

After work: Transportation again, and I read a little bit or look outside. I should probably look outside more and wear my normalized prrescription during this time, but I’ve mostly been going without my glasses. Then it’s another 20-30 minute walk back to my apartment. I normally don’t wear glasses during this time, but if it gets too dark and hard to see, I will wear my glasses.

At night: Cooking then watch a little bit of tv (I shouldn’t be doing this actually). I try to do a little bit more work by turning on the subtitles and see if I can clear the text. So far, a white haze would be around the text, but I would be able to at least see what it says.

That’s really it. Any advice/suggestions would be great.

Did you notice it, the most interesting part of Kim’s report?  40cm, no glasses?

That is rather quite interesting.  I will leave it to Jake and Neha to explore with Kim in the forum, to see if there might be a an ciliary component that could resolve a lot of Kim’s current high myopia fairly quickly.  Let’s see!

The whole thread is here.

My apologies for not having added much lately, I have been rather enjoying a break from much of the site for a while.  I’m very glad that you all decide to continue supporting them with your forum comments and progress reports.  The new way to click through and see everybody’s list of posts too, very nice!  I’m so proud that all of you together are keeping things moving forward.

Thank you for all your kind e-mails, keeping in touch.  I’m reading and responding as quickly as I can.

Enjoy some healthy eyesight today!
