Blind faith is a liability.

And skepticism is healthy.  It keeps you out of all sorts of potential trouble.  And on the flipside while many unicorn farmers love endmyopia, they also love everything else.  So I have to talk them out of putting things in their eyes, and squeezing their eyes, and all sorts of things they keep digging up online.

Like a kid always on the way with the fingers in the light socket.

I like the skeptics.  It’s logical thinking, doubting an Internet eye guru and his myopia reversing magic.  And skeptics tend to analyze, test, verify.  They make for great “success stories” since they tend to have data, and detailed progress reports based on that data, rather than subjective impressions alone.

Here’s Michael, skeptic, and his post in the endmyopia Facebook group:

Data.  We loves the data.

See what I mean?

There you have a low of 65 centimeter, and a high of 80cm.  Variability of visual acuity is established.  Endmyopia tools are being tested.  The outcome will be as Michael discovers, rather than trusting vague promises of unicorn ponies by some Internet scheme.

All the jokes and sarcasm and hyperbolics in these posts aside, this is how I work and how I like to work with you.  Data.  And facts.

*UPDATE:  Michael’s 6 month progress report.

Housekeeping:  As you may have noted from the date of Michael’s post, I’m as always way behind on all things endmyopia.  At this point we could have 10 posts a day and just barely keep up with all the interesting things going on.  I recommend the Facebook group for at least some more highlights that you may miss otherwise.

We’re also trialing a low myopia “tuned” version of BackTo20/20, as well as a presbyopia specific structured program.  Doing this with very small groups and it might take till next year (or even further) to release these to a wider audience.  There’s no catch there (ie. no new money making schemes), rather an effort to further increase the effectiveness of the program by letting you hone in a bit further on your specific scenario.  If you want to be “on the list”, drop me an e-mail.

Cheers,

-Jake
