“I invested in a pair of +1.50 reading glasses yesterday (I know that I’m getting a LITTLE ahead, but having been teased about it in the 7 emails, I knew I was going to have to give it a shot eventually), and I have to say that wearing them is an eye-opener (see what I did there?)! It is becoming really clear to me that my eyes have been coasting along without having to work for so many years, and I’m finding that the constant need to focus my eyes, though exhausting, will definitely serve me well in the long run!”

From Tori’s recent post, “Why I Joined”, in the forum.

It’s a whole interesting thread, with lots more details and initial observations.  If you have forum access, stop over and have a quick read.

I’m always loving reading these kind of posts.  It’s a near certainty that you’ll be seeing progress updates from Tori before long, that will be all sorts of encouraging and maybe even enviable.

You probably noticed a curious tendency already, if you follow the forum.

Those who post, take the time to consider the various details of their lifestyles, their planned changes, their centimeter results, you find them coming back with interesting updates.  You can actually click any participant’s name and see all other posts and threads.  Check it out.  It’s quite literally almost every single case, that you get a detailed initial assessment, and then after a while the “wow hey, this is really working for me!”

Which is why I say what I say, over and over.  Follow the exact process.  Keep a log.  Realize that you’re making a relative short term investment of time, to instigate long term habit changes.  It’s a leap of faith for sure, but you have years and thousands of forum posts to reassure you.

Or if you happen to be just following the blog, you know I always post some of the key experiences and how-to’s here as well.  So whether you’re a participant or just peeking in the windows, you can take your eyes back from the lens industry.

That’s it for today.  Yes, a short blog post.  I spent all morning at the hospital, for the preflight checkup of the impending hatching of the next Jake-generation.  This after a sleepless night last night, wondering when it’s time to get the party started.  They now say that Monday is supposed to be the day!  So if you see a day with no post, you know what happened.  ;-)

Cheers,

-Jake
