Lots of interesting stories and commentary in the forum, today.

Quick aside:  I’ve been doing screenshots instead of text copy/paste lately just because it somehow feels more authentic (but then also slightly more blurry, ironically).

Here’s William’s comment:

“0.5 centimeter improvement, per week”.  Great work.

Always remember to check Snellen as well.  While both measurements *should* produce similar results, in practice they tend to vary, especially in various stages of improvement.  You may get some months with Snellen improving and no centimeter change, and vice versa.  If you check both, you’ll avoid a seeming lack of progress at any given moment.

I don’t generally comment much on these, since they’re not hard data, quantifiable types of data.  It’s enough of a stretch to just talk vision improvement, even with all the science and tangible measurement tools.

Others though, fortunately aren’t holding back:

If I wasn’t just using the guru thing as a title to say teacher-not-doctor, I’d probably embrace the fact that lowering diopters and get good stimulus does much more than fix blur distance.

And yes, it’s easy to measure centimeters and not nearly as easy to use non-subjective terms to describe the other ways that your perceived quality of vision improves.  Steve:

Cutting it off there, the comment and thread goes on with more good insights.  As always, there’s lots more in the forum.  If you have access head over for a quick browse of the latest.
