Yulia’s quite enthusiastic forum update made me smile, first thing this morning.  Here it is, maybe it’ll have a similar effect on you:

Hey Jake,

i want to write today the update!
i started feeling lots of eye strain in my long distance glasses and i decided to go to my friendly optometrist today. So guess what?
Based on what we tried with her i see pretty clear without astigmatism with my normalised as well. That was something completely blowed my mind today and i felt so much excitement and ultimate joy and pleasure! You cant imagine how i was jumping all the way on my way back to my house along the beautiful seaside training my peripheral vision without log-distance glasses)
When i came home i checked my cm and realised that i have great improvement with my cm as well!!! and i credit a lot to that excitement and joy which i experienced beforehand! I think excitement and joy improves the vision as well, as i wrote down results just after my coming back home and i still was on the peak performance level! I had 24.5 cm (left eye) in the morning and 15 cm (right eye) in the morning without glasses. with my close-up miracle glasses – (left eye) 59.5 cm and (right eye) 57 cm. So when i came back home i had 27 cm (left eye) in the morning and 16 cm (right eye) without glasses. with my close-up miracle glasses – (left eye) 62 cm and (right eye) 58 cm. I really really credit that improvement to my peak state!
Now i decided to condition my mind on a daily basis for a peak performance level! Its not just vision changing program i should say, its a program of conditioning the mind to the peak performance level:) At least for me personally

PS: my new normalised (long-distance) prescription – left eye -4.5, right eye -7.5 and no f**ing cylinders!

Feeling inspired about whats next!
Have an awesome day!
Julia

Woohoo, right?!

Centimeters, understanding your eyes, understanding focal planes and diopters and cylinders.  Empowering goodness for your eyeball wellbeing.  (full forum thread here)

Keep up the great work!

Housekeeping:  What Jake, that’s it?  Copy-paste a forum post, and “wohoo”?

Yup, yup.  Just got into Saigon after 8 hours on the night bus.  At the coffee shop answering e-mails and forum questions and yes, phoning in this blog post.  Then get to the airport and hop on a flight to Bangkok, hopefully with all work already done.

I did find a tiny mountain monastery yesterday and trecked up there to shoot a quick video for you, on the subject of confirmation bias and why smart people are often totally wrong about things that may seem obvious to others.  Look for that tomorrow of the next day, it’ll show up in your feed since you’re wisely already subscribed to zee YouTubes, yaa.

Cheers,

-Jake
