Help me help you – create a forum signature with your diopter details.
If I can just look at your signature (which shows up under every post you make) to get your current prescription numbers, it saves you having to retype the numbers every time. Handy! It’s also great as you look at other’s questions to have a frame of reference for their prescriptions.
Until we have a more sophisticated system to track your changes, this is also an easy way to keep track of your subscription history.
Suggested Signature Format
Day/Month/ Year Differential: L: -x.xx R: -x.xx (if astigmatism, also add:) Sph L: -x.xx R: -x.xx
Day/Month/ Year Normalized: L: -x.xx R: -x.xx (if astigmatism, also add:) Sph L: -x.xx R: -x.xx
Include the dates that you started with each prescription. As you update your reductions, just add the latest with the current date. Like this, so the most recent is on top:

Setting Up Your Forum Signature
It’s pretty easy to set up and edit your forum signature.
1) Click on your use name (from any of your forum posts).
2) Click the “edit” button.
3) Scroll down to “your forum signature”.
4) Optional (and awesome): Add an avatar.
Remember to click “update profile” at the bottom of the page, to save your changes.
I’m hoping to develop a system where you can just enter your prescriptions and it’ll keep track of them from there. Combining a logging function with a way to graph progress, deal with the forum signature, help me and you keep track of changes … right now this is just in the early planning stages.
Meanwhile, for those of you who have been participating for a while, if you even just put your latest prescriptions in the signature, it’ll make it easier for me to reference your questions.
