Eli reports his progress in the forum:

quotes-blueI just got back from the eye doctor. He had ordered me a trial pair of -7.00 contacts (I guess he was not expecting much after I put them in). To his amazement I was able to get to 20/20 (without squinting) with the new lowered script. He was almost speechless. When he did talk he said “whatever you are doing, keep doing it”. I said “I plan on it, order me a box of these new contacts”.

I know that I will be wearing these contacts for at least a month before I even think about moving down further but I must say that this program works!”

As a bit of background, Eli started just over a month ago, with a -8.00 prescription.  His full forum post is here.

We have to keep in mind that there is probably a bit of overprescription there to start with.  Although being that Eli’s results are directly from the eye doctor, previous -8.00 and current -7.00 prescription, there is something to be said for the near immediate effects of adjusting prescription and close-up habits.

Very nice for Eli, it is exhilarating to experience meaningful progress.

If you read a story like Eli’s, perhaps as new visitor to the site, skepticism has to be through the roof.  Sometimes it’s more encouraging to read stories like Trace’s, who writes about minimal results, considering PRK instead.  That looks more like reality, even though currently it looks like Trace is back to seeing actual improvements.

Since I started this whole career as myope looking for answers myself, I’m very much familiar with the challenge of finding a real solution.  For new readers Trace should be interesting reading, and for those of us who already did well, we might cheer at Eli’s experience.

Thanks for all of your forum posts, it makes all of our day especially those working on this site for you.

Cheers,

– Jake
