Every time I outsource Website related projects, it seems I spend twice as much time fixing stuff that contractors screw up.

I don’t want to micro-manage, I swear.

But might as well do it myself.  Today is update-backlog-clearing day.   The BackTo20/20 invite system has been a little broken for a while now.  Nice for me, since less invites went out.  Also half of the payment options weren’t really working.  Also nice for me, since … just less things to deal with.

And there’s been a major WordPress update lingering, and all the related things that were in need of updating.  Whenever I do this it turns into a major crisis of things breaking left and right.  Love to postpone all that.

You’re probably getting the idea.  I’ve been ignoring a whole lot of things for a while.

There’s also the matter of the e-mail series, and how one track was really selling BackTo20/20.  I’ve always been less than a fan of that one.  Was told to do it, didn’t have any better ideas the time.  But it was the wrong message, regardless.  BackTo20/20 is meant to be the fast track, the inside scoop, the thing you do when you want more than just the blog.  Like getting a trainer at the gym (although, does that really work?).  So maybe like getting the car with the turbo charger.  First class flight ticket upgrade.  The fancy shoes rather than the Walmart special.  Something like those things.  Not something to sell from the soap box.

I finally fixed that also, all that sales-ey stuff is finally gone.  The invite system is still a little iffy, but at least the pleading for buying is out of here.  So worth it!

But that leaves the blog to suffer a bit, today.  Already about three hours over my daily close-up budget.  Hopefully you’re enjoying some great eyesight today.  Send me stuff on Twitter.  (which is also getting a long overdue cleanup of followings  .. yay)

Cheers!
