If you have forum access, I suggest you hop over for a quick read of my comment to Matthew, for some low myope tips.

Short version:  You want to focus on equalizing when you’re that close to getting rid of your glasses altogether.  Why?  Because it reduces the subjective disruption of your vision when you take off your glasses.  Having different focal planes for left and right eye with glasses, then not having that same focal plane without, makes it appear to you that your uncorrected vision is worse than it actually is.

This matters because now your visual cortex just goes, …

nope-cat

… and the world without glasses appears (to you) much blurrier than it would if you had adjusted to an equalized alternative.  Really, the difference is notable, in many cases.

If you practice active focus, and in particular if you successfully reduced your prescriptions before, you already know how much positive engagement matters.  If your brain expects to see clearly, it will happen (i.e. you can active focus, clear blur, your glasses give you clear vision).  If your brain expects blur, then blur it will be.

That’s what makes it so hard for some to get that first active focus experience.  Expectation is everything.

So that’s why equalized lenses matter, when you’re working on making the jump from low myopia, to no-myopia.  You don’t even need a -1.50 that gets you 20/40 in even decent indoor lighting, in most day time outdoor conditions (hey, use what is required by law for driving!).  You can fuse all sorts of double vision images, in a matter of weeks while outdoors, and that -1.50 becomes your night time and indoor-only glasses, before you know it.

Equalize low myopia.  That’s today’s gospel.  And read that forum thread for some additional worthwhile bits for your low myopia transition.

sessiongroup15

What’s that, finally a blue rocket next to a group 15 session?!

Finally, finally back to updating the structured program.  We’re at session group 15 now, soon that’ll be wrapped up and I’ll fix up the weekly bonus sessions for the whole year.

The programming minion is also hard at work on the promised phase II of the logging too (output edition).   Just a mockup of the new auto-generated signature file (coming soon, hopefully):

sigfile

That’s it.  Some video quality time is also pending, hopefully before the water festival puts a three-day dent into life as we know it.

Cheers,
