So I am on my third normalized glasses prescription now, after just over 3 months on the program! From my original contact lens prescription of -5.00D in the right eye and -5.50D in the left, I am now wearing -3.50D right and -4.00D left. Just the idea that I am into the mid-myope range is amazing for me, after x-years as a high myope.
With the arrival of summer and the constant bright sunlight we have out here, I realized that I was hardly having any blur during the day with my second normalized glasses, and therefore very little active focus. And since my 0.75 reduction has been confirmed at a recent eye-test, I was ready to move forward.
And more good news is that I am now brilliant at active focus even after a glass of wine the night before :) Yep, I am one of those lucky people Jake mentioned in his recent video..come on, after -6.00D of myopia (glasses prescription) AND glaucoma, I deserved a break, didn’t I??
As for my presbyopia, what presbyopia? I am effectively wearing a reading prescription now, so all things near are perfectly clear, and with a bit of active focus all distance vision is clear too, especially in daylight hours.
All in all, things are going really well for me in this program and I look forward to further progress. I will keep you posted.
