If you’re in BackTo20/20, you poor kitteh have been waiting for all the various issues with video sessions to get sorted.  

As of today, that might finally be mostly be the case.  Videos, streaming properly again.  Finally.

A bit of background:  All BackTo20/20 video is hosted on Vimeo Pro, which has better streaming, isn’t infested by YouTube trolls and their comments, and allows us to better control access.  Not cheap or free like YouTube, and so much better suited to a pro level audience for serious content.

The code that was connecting the various bits to your BackTo20/20 account was updated by the developer, and Vimeo made some changes, and as usual everything fell apart and on my head.  And it takes a Jakey a while to get things sorted.

I think we’re all good now, though.  When you log in, sessions with the video icon next to them should now be properly streaming the video sessions.

Next on the list is getting those follow-up sessions on track (I know, I know, taking forever), and hopefully also adding more video sessions.

There’s quite a bit of stuff that is necessary to keep everything here running, a lot of it resulting in no tangible benefit to you on the front end.  You don’t see a lot of the maintenance and things unless something breaks.  Accordingly I prioritize doing the things you do see, and often wait for all the invisible, time consuming, low visibility things to fall apart.

Those, the pitfalls of a small eye guru shack.  Hopefully you’re enjoying the proceedings regardless.  ;)
