The Giant Double Vision Thread
Double vision is a key experience in your vision improvement journey. Since your eyesight doesn't go from blur straight to perfectly clear vision, it's important to recognize and leverage the double vision component of your experience. On that subject, lets look at a recent forum thread today. The forum is truly all by itself is worth the price of entry for BackTo20/20. In the spirit of sharing some forum highlights for our darling blog readers, here are some student findings [...]
How Can A Dog Fix Your Eyesight?
There's a huge thread titled "The Double Dilemma" in the forum. It's full of interesting insights and I've been meaning to post excerpts of it here in the blog. But then things keep coming up, like my interview, and Fleur's progress, and Roberto's progress. Today is no different. Blake posts a good one in the forum: Now, I'm not saying that you need to get a dog to improve your eyesight. The point of that particular session, to look at [...]
Q&A: Contact Lenses vs. Glasses (for rehab)
A quick one today, from the forum. Blake asks: So I just had a thought. My Rx is so high it causes a fisheye effect and it causes me to be very self concious, which was a big reason for going back to contacts. Would it be wiser to wear my full distance Rx in contacts and wear a +.25 or so for distance and then a +1.5 or so for close up work as opposed to a 1.5 lower [...]
Jakey’s Famous, And A Quick Active Focus Q&A
Which do we start with? My impending rise to statue-in-the-park status, or active focus Q&A? Let's do active focus Q&A. Ernest has a whole list of questions in the forum, and these might be interesting for you as well. If you're new here, active focus is the main stimulus contributor to reliably improving your eyesight. Not eye exercises, not eye yoga, not eye vitamins. The eye is a stimulus response machine, and just as glasses cause axial elongation and progressive [...]
Cindi’s Update: From -2.75 To Astigmatism Completely GONE!
Would you like to see a by-the-book approach to curing your own astigmatism completely? How about really high astigmatism, and in a pretty short period of time? Behold, a brilliant status update from Cindi in the forum: I started this process in Dec 2014. Decades ago I had done vision therapy with a behavioral ophthalmologist, and had a big improvement in my prescription. It might have been Bates method, I’m not sure, but I did use biofeedback to learn how to relax my [...]
Improve Eyesight With Sunglasses?
I've been promising this one for a while. The Q&A video isn't perfectly clear on a few key points. I blame the giant ants. The main way to address blur horizon is always diopters. Lux is just "fine tuning" blur horizon, in some scenarios. This works best in the 300-1,200 lux range. Higher lux is too bright, and sunglasses are just bringing light down to a manageable range in the first place. Any lower and it's just too dim, creating [...]
