Behind The Scenes. Highly professional outfit that @endmyopia is, behind the scenes is all entirely sanctionable, appropriate, and educationally valuable content.
Or not any of that. We take no responsibility for what you may find in this section. (nor anywhere else, really … Jake is any PR professional’s amused nightmare)
No Longer Needs Glasses
The person started with EndMyopia in 2017 and joined Back to 20/20, but stopped because of eye problems related to their optometry prescriptions for normalization and differential glasses. By following the free information loosely over the years, they are now free of glasses. They report some presbyopia but do not require lenses to correct it at this point. See more documented cases in the EndMyopia Case Report Registry.
Negar: Reducing From -5.00 Diopters
Negar started at -5.00 and reports that she is improving. She says she has already decreased both differentials and normalized. Her twin sister is also improving, and both hope to stop wearing glasses. See more documented cases in the EndMyopia Case Report Registry.
Karuna: -4.50 Diopters To -4.00
Karuna, in Canada, reports reducing by 0.5 diopters in both eyes over 4 months. Current power is RE -3.25 and LE -4.00, down from -3.75 and -4.50. The stated goal is to reach 20/20. See more documented cases in the EndMyopia Case Report Registry.
-5.50 Diopters To -4.50
A 20-year-old member writes that a year and a half after starting, their more myopic left eye went from -5.5 SPH with -3.5 CYL to wearing -4.5 SPH with no cylinder for distance. Their right eye went from -3 SPH with -2.5 CYL to no correction at all. They also use -3.5 SPH for close-up in the left eye and nothing in the right, and describe the improvement as self-assessed after changing their glasses and diet. See more documented cases [...]
Reducing From -1.75 Diopters
A parent writes that their teenage daughter was prescribed glasses at -1.75 in the spring of the prior year but never wore them. Practicing active focus almost daily, she can now see the classroom whiteboard, read street signs, and read the Starbucks menu, though no exact current measurement was taken. The parent separately reports reducing their own reading glasses from 1.25 to 0.75 in three-month steps. See more documented cases in the EndMyopia Case Report Registry.
