Here is another darling podcast, discussing curious facts about actual vision biology and malleability of human eyesight, that the mainstream would have you believe is not a real thing.

Because who cares about science, anyway?

Not the people selling you glasses, that’s who.

Or the clowns on Reddit who know everything obviously, though without ever having tried anything, or possibly ever having left mom’s basement.  You can just picture them down there, hunched over a glowing monitor, glasses askew on their misshapen heads, furiously typing into their high end gaming keyboards about how endmyopia is totally fake.

Which of course, it IS fake.  It’s run by a currency manipulator on some yacht somewhere, sailing around Greece and flying Instagram ‘models’ in by the helicopter load.

Cause that’s how we do.  Sinister plans of scamming the Internet by having people get rid of their glasses subscription and ultimately ending up questioning everything about the default cultural context.

Viva la revolucion!

Or whatever.  Usually revolutions don’t lead to a better world.  Maybe the Reddit dorks are on point and we should just wear glasses and submit to the wisdom of corporate lens peddlers.

Also possibly getting to the point, Julia reduced her lens subscription from -5.50 to -1 diopter.  That last diopter that she doesn’t actually even need much of the time.  And of course also no presbyopia, because that’s also not actually a thing.

Here we go:

Would you look at that.

Also by the way, if you want to subscribe to this podcast in audio format, we’re on most major podcast platforms.

Here’s the moral of the story, kittehz.  The ole eyeguru?  He don’t care.  Man be sitting on the beach, various drinks on hand, snickering into the sunset.  Whether you get rid of your literal and / or metaphorical shortsightedness, matters preciously little to an ever older hedonist troublemaker.

Though if you do and we chat, I will probably be happy that we met and got to talk and that I got to contribute something of value to your life.

Quality people, doing quality things with their lives.  I’m proud with – and of, all your gains!

Cheers,

– Jake
