Optometrist Confirmed Vision Improvement.   This, a sub category to the many hundreds of vision improvement reports from darling readers and students of endmyopia.  While we believe that you can make your own objective measurements at home, it is a nice bonus to get the “professional” confirmation.

Note that all reports here are posted by students and readers (e-mail and Facebook group).  We don’t independently verify results (though we do track opt-in data for BackTo20/20 students progress).

14 Year Old Reduces Myopia By 0.75 D From -5.00 (Optometrist Confirmed)

An update today from your favorite irresponsible e-mail chaperone.   Yes, a Jake's been a bit lagging in posting improvement reports.  Let's fix that today with a particularly inspiring one.  As you read this one, think no help or support from the parents, no guidance from any optometrist, no BackTo20/20 membership.  Just the blog, determination, and the ability to put the various two's and two's together.   Here's Anne awesome e-mail: Hats off. Somebody is going to have no trouble finding [...]

Andrea: Optometrist Confirms Myopia Reduction (-5.00 Down To -3.00)

-5.00 down to -3.00.  That's a 40% reduction in myopia, and confirmed by the optometrist.  Wow. The endmyopia library of individual improvement reports has grown quite impressively large at this point.  Spanning years and students from every walk of life, ages from 5 years old all the way to 90 and over, and from all over the world.   And these stories are everywhere, from my e-mail (and yes, I saved them all), to the BackTo20/20 support forum (obviously), all the way to social [...]

Rachel’s (-7.00) Update: Optometrist Excited!

Have you ever heard of an optometrist getting excited about measuring clients improving eyesight?   It's a rare thing, for sure.  Read on! I had planned to get through some of the usual backlog of improvement stories today, get some motivating and great first hand accounts posted here for you. It's not to be though, at least for today.  Because something else came along. Also an improvement story of course (as most are), but this one with a particularly heart [...]

Optometrist Improves: No Longer a High Myope!

Written By Despina Contributing Optometrist This week has been quite momentous for me. A major milestone. I am no longer a "High Myope".  In March this year, I started out with a contact lens prescription of R -5.00, L -5.50. That's about -5.50 and -6.00 in a spectacle prescription, plus a bit of astigmatism. Definately high myopia, from the age of about 12. Two days ago, I am thrilled to report, after a good 20 minutes of no prescription on, [...]

Kim’s Optometrist Confirms Improved Vision (but Kim made some mistakes …)

Kim's eyesight improved to such a degree that even an optometrist confirms it's real.   That's a bigger deal than you might think. Remember that most optometrists test you in worst case scenario settings.  Dark room, artificially lit eye chart, not telling you how much correction they're adding, asking you, sneakily, whether additional diopters make the vision clearer or not. You could literally improve your eyesight but almost a diopter and it might not show up at all in those particular testing [...]

Eli: -8.75 Down To -6.25, Optometrist “Baffled And Excited”

I think this e-mail from Eli might almost work best without me saying anything: Eli is right up there on guru level 4, with all those 20/20 gains.  He's even baffling the professionals! And he is also part of our FB group of rebels and troublemakers, so you can stop over there and congratulate Eli yourself.  It's always a wise idea to suck up to the OG kittehs with the serious multi-diopter 20/20 gains, gleam some of their experience and inspiration. [...]
