Starting Point: -4 To -5 Diopters

Congratulations, sort of.  You have less diopters than many, though it’ll take you a little while to make it back to 20/20.

Which one could say, is kind of good news.  So far all the so-called professionals and doctors have been telling you that nothing at all can be done about your shortsightedness.  They say suck it up, you’re a failure in the vision department.  Give us your credit card, consider yourself lucky we’re here, and buy these glasses.

And then you end up on this page anyway, skeptical ideally, open-minded, hopefully.

Then you start finding out that retail optometry knows that minus lenses cause myopia and that myopia in most cases isn’t an illness at all.  Myopia is usually nothing more than a refractive state, meaning that your eyes simply adapted to both strain (from close-up) and stimulus (of the wrong kind, from minus lenses).

Oops.  And you may look and find more and more articles on the subject, realizing that you’re neither hopeless, nor broken.

That part isn’t really in question, at least not once you explore a bit of the clinical science and studies that can easily be found on Google Scholar.  The real question is, is Cooky VonJakenstein off his regal rocker, or is this particular dirty stock trader and capitalist Schweinehund on to something, with all this talk about reversing myopia?

This is the question.  Is endmyopia just more Internet unicorn farming, or is it the real deal?

Spoiler alert, at the very least it’s run by a amusingly deranged creature of the beard.

But whatever.  What counts is results, and so let’s look at some results for those who started out just like you:

-4 To -5 Diopter Progress Updates

Nicole: Ophthalmologist Confirms -3.5 D Myopia Reduction

Dear all the holy gods, old and new, please let us find the serenity not to launch into an epic rant in this post.  Shanti-amen.   Here we go. Nicole improves her eyesight.  Reduces her myopia.  Has a supportive proper ophthalmologist (not just some runty chain store optician) to help her along the way.  Nicole makes all the 20/20 gains, reports her progress in the Facebook group. Like so: That's right.  All is well. That's it. [...]

Shelly: How I Reduced -4.25D To Just -1.75D

Awe Jake.  The crickbait is strong with you! Because for the 'how' part you'll have to actually dig into endmyopia and learn some biology and some optics and do some prodigious experimenting of the self.  C'est la vie, kittehz. The inspiring bit here, 40% less myopia.  40%!   Already down so much that it's now at a level where Shelly can almost get away without glasses for close-up (a huge milestone), and that she can definitely [...]

Mantas Progress: -5.25 Reduced To -3.75

Another progress report from the Facebook group, today. Note in this one the idea of having a (reasonable) goal set.  We've previously discussed how quickly exactly you can expect to improve your eyesight.  Once you have a few months actual first hand experience and established productive habits, you can start setting yourself some realistic goals. Here's Mantas: Well done. New readers often get tempted to overdo things.  Try to cheat the gains. But eventually you get [...]

Helmut: 74 Years Old, Reduced From -5.00 To -2.50

Welcome back, darlings! Back to Gainsville where separation of church and state isn't even a thing.  It's a state of ongoing guruness, appreciated by the many faithfully fateful visitors looking to bring home some gains - and throw some diopters in the town square's fountain. Jake, what are you smaoking, you're thinking. Forget Gainsville.  Here is Helmut's progress report: Age much like myopia, just a number. The rest here goes without saying.  Myopia is a negative [...]

Troy (-4.00) IT Job & The 20/20 Gains

The nay sayers are right.  Jakey is a terrible eye guru. We're so many improvement reports behind right now, it's pretty much official at this point:  we'll never ever get caught up trying to post all of the great 20/20 gains reports here. Also, hey.  How many optometrists have you ever heard saying anything like that?  Too many improvement reports to keep up with?  Fortunately these guys are still the sanctioned stewards of our collective vision [...]

Kristen A (-4.25): Optometrist Confirms 1.5 Diopter Reduction

Here's a great improvement report for you, from our darling Facebook group. You might like this one since it's a) optometrist confirmed, b) has diopter equalization (left and right eye same diopters), c) includes more than a full diopter of reduction, and d) even has reduced astigmatism.  All this in a span of a very short 7 months. Not bad at all for seven months start, and an "incurable genetic condition". Here's the full post: Win [...]
