Refractive Error Explained (CORRECTLY, for once!)

Refractive error is a common term used in the 'medical' community when discussing myopia.  The whole premise is a ridiculously stupid as it is flawed, and in this most eloquently scientific and unbiased article we'll find out exactly how and why. Battlestations! Jake, the unholiest of holiness has an idea today, darling kittehs.  An idea, for you. Optometrist: Not Going To Increase Your Prescription

Some days the Facebook group is a great place. Days when new members post stories about their myopia journey, how their diopters kept increasing, and in many cases how the mainstream may just play the key role in creating these high diopter scenarios. Melissa: 18 Months Progress Report

Getting back to the roots here, posting more of the daily incoming improvement reports. Karen is on track with initial improvements, which can be as high as a full diopter in the first ninety days in some cases.  Of course from there things settle into a more measured pace, but the initial boost is a great place to start! That's 25% less diopters! This is where you want to be. Imagine being able to lose (or gain) 25% of your weight so easily.  Or living [...]

D.B.: -3.50 To -2.50 Progress Report

Today, a nice e-mail progress report from Dan. As you read, note his progress rate which is right around the figures most eye gurus suggest.  Handy also his access to online shopping options, circumventing the massive markups and often condescending attitudes of local chain store outlets. Patience and reading the blog before getting started with diopter changes is key to success.  Unless you are doing the structured BackTo2/20 approach, take the time to learn the basics and read plenty of these kind of progress reports [...]
