Starting Point: -4 To -5 Diopters
Congratulations, sort of. You have less diopters than many, though it’ll take you a little while to make it back to 20/20.
Which one could say, is kind of good news. So far all the so-called professionals and doctors have been telling you that nothing at all can be done about your shortsightedness. They say suck it up, you’re a failure in the vision department. Give us your credit card, consider yourself lucky we’re here, and buy these glasses.
And then you end up on this page anyway, skeptical ideally, open-minded, hopefully.
Then you start finding out that retail optometry knows that minus lenses cause myopia and that myopia in most cases isn’t an illness at all. Myopia is usually nothing more than a refractive state, meaning that your eyes simply adapted to both strain (from close-up) and stimulus (of the wrong kind, from minus lenses).
Oops. And you may look and find more and more articles on the subject, realizing that you’re neither hopeless, nor broken.
That part isn’t really in question, at least not once you explore a bit of the clinical science and studies that can easily be found on Google Scholar. The real question is, is Cooky VonJakenstein off his regal rocker, or is this particular dirty stock trader and capitalist Schweinehund on to something, with all this talk about reversing myopia?
This is the question. Is endmyopia just more Internet unicorn farming, or is it the real deal?
Spoiler alert, at the very least it’s run by a amusingly deranged creature of the beard.
But whatever. What counts is results, and so let’s look at some results for those who started out just like you:
Is Your Phone Killing Your Vision Improvement?
As you may know, your favorite old timey eye guru, uncle VanderJakenhausen Le Third, lives in an off-grid jungle. You know where my phone is right now? Right. I don't either. Somewhere in the house. Maybe near the charger. I do use it to tether to tenuous 3G Internet to make you these posts and videos, so it's definitely on and definitely probably somewhere. Where it's for sure not though, is in my pocket. It's [...]
Ashish: Reduced From -3.00 To -1.50 (In 1 Month)
Let's dazzle the world with some more gains today, kittehz. GAINNNNZ. Ashish: -3.00 To -1.50 This one caught a bit of flak in the Facebook group: Optimistic? Improvements aren't entirely objective, at all times. Initial gains though should be celebrated and used as a stepping stone to building solid habits and a long term outlook towards getting back to 20/20 - and staying there. Diana: -4.00 To -3.25 A nice update: Opto confirmed, no less. 9 [...]
Christie: Optometrist Says, “No More Myopia”
Gains updates time, kittehz. First of all, please let me say that a darling guru is very, very far removed from the West. And all the curious and rapidly changing ideas about free speech, extra enhanced political correctness, and generally things that an old man finds quite confusing. Seems like we'd have more pressing problems than trying to practice being little fascists with each other while the big corporate machines continue grinding our lives into infinite [...]
Leah New Video Update: (-8.00 Start) Now Down To -5.25 D
Loving the video updates! Very very slowly we're getting some of our darling participants to throw in some videos of their updates. So much more context than just text on a screen, and great to see all the enthusiasm. One challenging thing about video updates is that you're bound to get about five billion questions. Just to be kind to everyone putting out these updates please take the time to read and understand and investigate on [...]
Holy Sh*t, SO MANY 20/20 GAINS
It's been a while, daaaaahlings. Time to get some of these progress reports off the inbox. Heads up, as always there are a zillion of them. Tip of the iceberg, scratching the surface of glorious beards, and acts of defiance against your rulers and institutionalized profiteers. Let's dive in. Mitja: -5.50 Down To -4.50 About the average for a year's progress. Cool part is that you can easily keep repeating this, year after year, till you're [...]
Louise: Optometrists, GTFO 😡
Let's kick off this latest round of improvement reports with some fun drama from the Facebook group. For a bit of background, for whatever reason the last couple of days has been stirring from sleeper cell optometrists in the group. Suddenly a flurry of activity there, recommending everything from atropine drops for myopia control (literally, poison) to ortho-k (literally, thousands of dollars for not addressing causality at all). And while your favorite darling eye guru [...]
