Starting Point: -4 To -5 Diopters

Congratulations, sort of.  You have less diopters than many, though it’ll take you a little while to make it back to 20/20.

Which one could say, is kind of good news.  So far all the so-called professionals and doctors have been telling you that nothing at all can be done about your shortsightedness.  They say suck it up, you’re a failure in the vision department.  Give us your credit card, consider yourself lucky we’re here, and buy these glasses.

And then you end up on this page anyway, skeptical ideally, open-minded, hopefully.

Then you start finding out that retail optometry knows that minus lenses cause myopia and that myopia in most cases isn’t an illness at all.  Myopia is usually nothing more than a refractive state, meaning that your eyes simply adapted to both strain (from close-up) and stimulus (of the wrong kind, from minus lenses).

Oops.  And you may look and find more and more articles on the subject, realizing that you’re neither hopeless, nor broken.

That part isn’t really in question, at least not once you explore a bit of the clinical science and studies that can easily be found on Google Scholar.  The real question is, is Cooky VonJakenstein off his regal rocker, or is this particular dirty stock trader and capitalist Schweinehund on to something, with all this talk about reversing myopia?

This is the question.  Is endmyopia just more Internet unicorn farming, or is it the real deal?

Spoiler alert, at the very least it’s run by a amusingly deranged creature of the beard.

But whatever.  What counts is results, and so let’s look at some results for those who started out just like you:

-4 To -5 Diopter Progress Updates

Reducing Diopters, This Whole Thing, Is FOR WEIRDOS

Darling fellow endmyopia kittehz. Welcome back to another post, and another round of all the 20/20 gains.  Of which as you probably know by now, there are many.   But let's start this one out with something that bugs your favorite holy sage eyeguru, and I don't know what to do about it. Every so often I get an e-mail like this one: *sigh* Now, that's a well-intentioned message. The problem with it is, that you [...]

From 20/50 To 20/20, Angry Optometrist, & More

Dearest darling kittehz. It's time for the weekly progress reports update, which is turning more into a sometimes-eventually progress reports udate. I need to hire somebody to post these.  There's really no way otherwise that they're getting done on a regular enough basis.  We get so, SO many progress reports (I love them all, please do keep them coming) and I'm inundated by an endless list of pesky other tasks to do for endmyopia. Hey Jake, [...]

Eva: My Optometrist Knows About Endmyopia! (and lots of gains reports)

Let's try again today the new tradition of weekly-ish updates of darling kitteh improvement reports. First up, Eva: What can I say ... This isn't the first or only time I've heard of this.   It seems to be getting more frequent as of late, which has to make one wonder.  Is it just some synchronicity or magic of the universe, or are we really seeping into mainstream consciousness? And here, while this isn't quite an [...]

Enis: BackTo20/20 60 Day Review (1 Diopter Gains)

Your favorite darling eye guru loves reading your feedback on all things endmyopia. A lot of times that feedback takes the form of questions, which tells me that there are possibly things I have to spend more time addressing.  Sometimes it's plateaus and lack of progress, which present the interesting challenge of figuring out where and how our approach may have gone off track. And sometimes the feedback is just a great, nice thumbs up: Kind [...]

Annette: -5.25 D Reduced To -1.75 Diopters

Dahhhhlings. It's been a very video-centric past couple of weeks.  Not only for the freeloader YouTubes, but also the most excellent BackTo20/20 paid member side of things has seen quite a few updates.  In the slow turning cycle that is dealing with all the things that make up endmyopia, a bit of this was quite well due. And what always seems to get neglected, is the gains updates. Obviously the best and most important part of [...]

Darshani: Daughter from -4.25 Reduced To -1.75 D

Kittehz. Uncle Jake's desktop is completely full of student gains reports screenshots.  If I stick them in a folder again, same thing will happen as always ... I'll never remember to try to post them all. Yes all these 20/20 gains are a problem entirely unique to our holy temples of Meow.  Since we dare to consider vision biology and stimulus, we're getting these unusual results of reducing myopia.  Who'd have thought. On to the point: [...]
