Retail Optometrist: “Your Bad Eyesight Is Genetic”
Why does retail optometry insist on this far fetched tale of ‘bad eyesight is genetic’?
Is it malice? A conspiracy? Are they out to get us?
I don’t think so. I used to prefer to go with ‘stupid’ but that also of course is more trolling than likely reality. Further reflection, it’s probably how our brains work:
Wiser people probably have found wiser ways to say all of this.
Moral of the story? We should maybe just try to be nicer, even if they are wrong and even if they do make lots of profit selling us into myopia.
Cheers,
-Jake
