Shannon posts her latest update in the forum:
After 5 weeks at -6.5, I was feeling everything was quite clear. I went to my dad’s farm, and looked around and the leaves in the trees looked clearer than I had seen in the last couple of years with my full prescription. Everything is looking more beautiful than ever before.
This weekend, on my 5 week mark of my first prescription decrease, I have switched to a -6.0. I am feeling a lot more confident this time around, as I know what to expect, and don’t feel as nervous/fearful of the unknown. I have been pleasantly surprised that my eyes have rehabilitated faster and more easily that I anticipated. I am very pleased with my results – this program is well worth the money. I also got $700 of $800 I put down on my glasses, so I can put it towards lowered glasses and contacts, plus the contacts and glasses are bought to begin rehab.
1/4 diopter steps instead of 1/2 steps
So to summarize – When I began, I was wearing -7.5 -8.5 contacts, which was an incorrect prescription. I believe I was meant to be a -7.0 / -7.0. I went down to a -6.5/-6.5 five weeks ago, and have now graduated to a -6.0/-6.0. Hoping to stabilize here in 6 weeks especially because I will be on vacation for week 5,6,7 of the -6.0 change. Mid vacation my goal is to possibly try a -5.75, as I am pushing for my greatest results over the summer. We’ll see how it goes!”

Well done, Shannon!
You might also have noticed some more clean-up on the site. We finally, finally have legible fonts. I’m thinking the previous smudgy business was a private joke Alex pulled on us for the past few years. He wouldn’t comment, but either way we’ve got clear text now.
I also wonder, somewhat quietly, whether we should have a Facebook group for participants to be able to chat about eyes. Just something beyond the support forum, maybe possibly.
Then again a lot of us (me included) don’t really use Facebook
Any thoughts, feel free to drop me a line or post a note over in the forum.
Cheers,
– Jake
