Starting Point: -4 To -5 Diopters

Congratulations, sort of.  You have less diopters than many, though it’ll take you a little while to make it back to 20/20.

Which one could say, is kind of good news.  So far all the so-called professionals and doctors have been telling you that nothing at all can be done about your shortsightedness.  They say suck it up, you’re a failure in the vision department.  Give us your credit card, consider yourself lucky we’re here, and buy these glasses.

And then you end up on this page anyway, skeptical ideally, open-minded, hopefully.

Then you start finding out that retail optometry knows that minus lenses cause myopia and that myopia in most cases isn’t an illness at all.  Myopia is usually nothing more than a refractive state, meaning that your eyes simply adapted to both strain (from close-up) and stimulus (of the wrong kind, from minus lenses).

Oops.  And you may look and find more and more articles on the subject, realizing that you’re neither hopeless, nor broken.

That part isn’t really in question, at least not once you explore a bit of the clinical science and studies that can easily be found on Google Scholar.  The real question is, is Cooky VonJakenstein off his regal rocker, or is this particular dirty stock trader and capitalist Schweinehund on to something, with all this talk about reversing myopia?

This is the question.  Is endmyopia just more Internet unicorn farming, or is it the real deal?

Spoiler alert, at the very least it’s run by a amusingly deranged creature of the beard.

But whatever.  What counts is results, and so let’s look at some results for those who started out just like you:

-4 To -5 Diopter Progress Updates

Bryan: -5.25 D Reduced To -3.25 D (In 18 Months)

Bryan goes from -5.25 to -3.25.  A worthwhile two diopter bit of 20/20 gains, this. -5.25 diopters.   The mainstream pretends it's no big deal.  Hey there little buddy wear these plastic lenses, pretend we're still living in the medical stone age.  These glasses will fix you right up, son.  Realistically though you are entirely helpless if you loose those glasses or contact lenses. Just think about it.  How far can you make it on your own, [...]

Kristen: From -4.25 To -3.25 (In Two Months)

It's time darlings, for another student 20/20 gains progress report. Title of this story?  A little misleading.  Let's look at what Kristen says first hand, get the actual scenario: We do what we do. Those are some excellent starter gains. Except, you know.  Fixing initial overcorrection and eye strain is "easy".  Relatively you're not quite yet really reversing your myopia, you're just correcting some of the major issues with too many diopters and the basic problems [...]

Marissa: -5.75 Down To -2.75 (In 7 Months)

Another quick announcement today, from your darling major of Gainsville. Marissa e-mails her 7 month update which of course has already been spoilered by the post title.  3 diopters in seven months, one might call that respectable: That's proper low myopia territory. You could wonder about all these lowered diopter stories here on endmyopia.  How are all these gains possible, Jake?  My optometrist tells me that myopia is genetic and can not be reversed! The most likely [...]

Kim’s -7.00 Reduced To -3.00 (In 18 Months): Amazed By Habit Effectiveness

How do you get from a -4.00 diopter correction down to -3.00 without even thinking about it?  Is that wishful thinking, or did Kim just do exactly that?   You keep hearing me saying this:  Habits kitteh, are key to all the 20/20 gains. Not eye exercises.  Forget about exercises.  Life gets in the way.  You've got things to do.  Sure maybe you're the super motivated type and you can do an hour a day eye exercise [...]

Debi: 9 Months Eye Pain Miraculously Gone! And 20/15 Vision (-4.00)

Time to catch up on awesome stories from endmyopia students. Here's Debi, posting in our Facebook group: Part of getting old, that's seriously what the professionally trained, licensed optometrist tells you?   People always tell me not to attack the establishment, and to just focus on what's possible with natural myopia control.  It's a little hard though when you read these so-called professional assessments, to not add a little gratuitous commentary on how various professional titles really don't prevent people [...]

Angie’s Must-Watch Eyesight Update (YouTube)

Vision improvement is a fringey topic. The sort of Internet health thing littered with all the unicorn pony farming and feeding on your hope and trust to sell you magic herb vitamins and secret-handshake eye exercises.   Which, some people live for that stuff.  Vague symptoms and magic weed cures.   As much fun as that might be, our goal here is to get you all the 20/20 gains.  I don't waste your time on the esoteric nuances of the self [...]
