Starting Point: Low Myopia

Congratulations.  You literally have the least amount of myopia of anybody following the beardly method.  But still it’ll take you a little while to make it back to 20/20.

Which having made it here before you ended up with high myopia (like many), is fortuitous for you.  The so-called professionals have told you that your eyes just aren’t good enough and that you definitely need their amazing product.  They’d keep telling you this while your myopia may well be continually increasing (especially if you’re staring young).

But now you are here to get a different idea about myopia … skeptical ideally, open-minded, hopefully.

By now you likely found out that  retail optometry knows that minus lenses cause myopia and that myopia in most cases isn’t an illness at all.  Myopia is usually nothing more than a refractive state, meaning that your eyes simply adapted to both strain (from close-up) and stimulus (of the wrong kind, from minus lenses).

Oops.  And you may look and find more and more articles on the subject, realizing that you’re neither hopeless, nor broken.

That part isn’t really in question, at least not once you explore a bit of the clinical science and studies that can easily be found on Google Scholar.  The real question is, is Cooky VonJakenstein off his regal rocker, or is this particular dirty stock trader and capitalist Schweinehund on to something, with all this talk about reversing myopia?

This is the question.  Is endmyopia just more Internet unicorn farming, or is it the real deal?

Spoiler alert, at the very least it’s run by a amusingly deranged creature of the beard.

But whatever.  What counts is results, and so let’s look at some results for those who started out just like you:

Live Chat With Sharada: -3.75 To -1.00 Progress Update

First live chat with a fellow endmyopian, darlings! Regardless, Sharada saved the day with an excellent accounting of how she made it down from -3.75 to being glasses-free for most of her day time needs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2OTIn9ivbc This [...]

Tess: Optometrist Baffled (-2.25 To -1.00)

Let's be baffled today, darlings. Because as we all know, eyesight is genetic, myopia is genetic-er, and glasses are the holy scripture of mainstream retail optometry. Bow before thine plastic lens gods, myopes! Please do forgive the vacuous commentary on my part.  After years and years of posting hundreds of improvement reports, I'm thoroughly out of what-to-says. So here's Tess: Could it just be ... *gasp* ... normal? And there we have it. I fully realize [...]

Simone: From -10 Diopters Down To -7

My most fellow darling kittehz.  Welcome back!   Let's jump into a little round of improvement updates and musings from the community. Because it's as always, overdue. Simone:  -10 Down To -7 In some cases finding endmyopia is a really big deal: It's ein Christmas miracle, dahlings. Not to be flippant. But we're talking difference between being on the road to serious potential eye issues, vs. now nicely reducing diopter dependence.   Much better scenario. Sharon: [...]

Zoe: “I’m 20/20, Optometrist Still Tried To Sell Me Glasses”

Another day, another deluge of improvement reports. Mostly it's a deluge because uncle Jake only posts these once every third solar eclipse, and because many days it just feels like ... ohhh what's the point anyway. Zoe-Lee: 20/20 But Need Glasses?! Well, let's see if we can find a point ... Uhm .... I guess one possible point, you're going to get jacked by that optometrist.   And no, of course not.  Nobody is saying that [...]
