Topic of today’s post had already made it over to Twitter a couple days ago.  (and apologies, the title is a wee bit glamorizing reality)

I get a fair amount of e-mail, of two varieties.  There are the ones who ask tons of questions about glasses and myopia and process, that a quick search of the blog would answer.  And then there’s the other ones, which grab the bull by the proverbial horns, and figure things out.

Quick aside: I don’t provide case specific advice to non-students, outside of the forum.

Partially time constraints, partially to be fair to the premise of those who support the site vs those who don’t.  That and with students I always know where they’re at in terms of experience and habits (since students have a structured process to follow).

All that said, you can absolutely hack it together, with the blog.  Here’s one of those e-mails:

imyourguruFara is doing all right, clearly.

Taking it easy on stimulus work would probably help the noted eye strain, as well as being a bit more conservative with prescription reductions.  As long as that gets figured that out though, we’re on the right track.

I also updated the e-mail course yesterday with a bit of a professional rewrite / edit / proofing.  Same as before, though a bit more literate (hopefully that’ll put an end to the mewling).  The editor said to keep my “voice”, she left some grammatically questionable bits in there.  Because that’s my voice, apparently.  ;-)

Cheers,
