I always say, we want low prescription complexity.  No bi-focals, and lowering astigmatism prescriptions (which now you also have the tools for, and the forum to ask questions if you need specific advice).  I say, that we need a prescription for close-up, and one for distance – and maybe one, for night time / driving / activities requiring optimal vision.

And that’s enough, to keep pushing towards better vision.

Sort of like it’s enough to go to the gym twice a week, to stay in reasonable health.  If we look at it the gym way, this topic introduces the bodybuilder style of approach to ongoing vision improvement – the tricks the serious guys use, to really get the most from their body’s potential.

[… excerpt from Installment #58 – Peak Prescription]

Prescription lenses are a big part of the #endmyopia Method.  No pinhole glasses, no prisms, no bi-focals.  Just as there is a big movement towards the concept of ‘whole foods’, with vision improvement too, simpler is better.

The big piece that augmented your myopia, slowly pushed it up past the -1D, the -1.50D, the -2.00D, etc etc, was – prescription glasses. I have not found a way to undo the damage, without using the same strategy, but in reverse.  While myopia happened through consistent eye strain and aggressive prescription minus lenses, we use the same premise to reverse the condition, in an otherwise healthy eye.  And there are several levels or strategies, to apply prescription to improving eyesight. The only ones you need, are all covered in the first 30 installments.

The ones that can add a serious boost to your progress, if you aren’t satisfied with the straightforward version of the #endmyopia Method, are discussed a bit later on in the program.  I am quite proud of our work on the Peak Prescription, it has been immensely useful for persistent axial myopia cases – especially ones where the standard route of differential and normalized prescription takes a bit longer to show the same degree of effect.

If you are in the Web program, look for the Peak Prescription right after the installments discussing astigmatism reduction.

And if you are not in the Web program, and this post just sounds like one giant ad … you could consider signing up, trying it out for yourself.  Tricky Alex, I know.  It is genuinely ‘cool stuff’ though, like U.S. based clients like to say.

Enjoy!
